JOB SUMMARY
The Home Health Administrator is responsible for all clinical, operational, and financial operations of the home health agency.
The Administrator plans, implements and evaluates services, programs, and performance ensuring compliant, quality, safe, and coordinated delivery of home health services.
The Administrator serves as the supervising nurse and directs day to day operations of the Agency and is responsible for the review, implementation of administrative policies and the provision of services.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Job Specific: Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 1.
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and regulatory agency policies and procedures related to the health and safety of patients.

Develops, implements, and reviews policies and procedures.
(EF) 3.
Directs daily operations and supervises the provision of quality care patients.
(EF) 4.
Maintains an ongoing liaison with the Governing Body, staff members and the community.
5.
Ensures agency is staffed appropriately with qualified and competent staff.
6.
Ensures completion, maintenance and submission of required reports, and accuracy of public information and activities.
7.
Responsible for preparation of operating and capital budgets and manages the agency within the approved budget.
8.
Develops and carries out departmental goals and objectives in conjunction with the hospital’s mission, strategic plans, and other identified needs, as well as in the planning, supervising, and coordinating and directing the activities of the department.

Maintains appropriate administrative and personnel records, and policies and procedures of the Agency.
10.
Serves as Agency Disaster Coordinator and is responsible for emergency preparedness plan development, training, implementation, and evaluation.
(EF) 11.
Supervises and provides direction and leadership to clinical staff to ensure quality and continuity of services.
(EF) 12.
Uses effective leadership to coach, counsel, evaluate, and performance manage employees.
(EF) 13.
Responsible for all revenue cycle management.
14.
Responsible for planning, directing, implementing, administering, and evaluating agency services and clinical outcomes.
(QAPI Program) (EF) 15.
Competently provides direct patient care assignments as necessary.
Hospital: 1.
Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
2.
Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
3.
Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
4.
Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times.
Other Duties As Assigned: Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time Minimum Requirements EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Required: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
Preferred: Master's degree in business or Health Related Field.
EXPERIENCE Required: Two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical care setting and one year of home health experience.
One year of supervisory experience in home health care or health-related setting and meets all TAC qualification requirements.
Preferred: Two years' experience as a Home Health Administrator.
Special Skills and Abilities: Required: Strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of OASIS Assessments, proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred: ICD 10 Coding LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Required: Current license or permit to practice as Registered Nurse in State of Texas; CPR; current driver's license.
Meets all requirements and qualifications to be a home health administrator under Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 558.
