Job Summary: Our need for a Licensed Child Care Administrator, LCCA is to ensure the overall supervision of resident/client care while meeting the DFPS Minimum State requirements as outlined for GRO settings of residents/clients who reside in an RTC environment.
Ensuring the provision of planned but flexible program activities designed to meet the developmental needs of residents
Having a system in place to ensure an employee is available to handle emergencies
Assigning tasks to direct care specialist that do not conflict or interfere with direct care specialist’s responsibilities
Administering and managing the operation according to your policies
Ensuring that the operation complies with its applicable policies
Knowledge of State licensing codes, regulations, policies and procedures and guidelines for accreditation.
Knowledge of supervision and management of General Residential Operations.
Knowledge of the effects of domestic/family violence on children and trauma informed care.
Skilled in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Outlook software.
Ability to effectively supervise and communicate, both orally and written.
Ability to analyze and resolve situations accurately and professionally and adopt a plan of action.
Ability to work independently, train and evaluate assigned staff performance.
Ability to maintain professionalism while establishing and developing relationships.
Duties:
The Licensed Child Care Administrator is responsible for the operation of the facility and ensuring quality care, services and advocacy for our children in our care.
Implements programs and services as specified in the children’s individualized service plan
Completes accurately all reports, data collection and other information documenting the care and services provided in keeping with licensing regulations and Agency policies
Have daily supervision and on-site administrative responsibility for the overall operation
Oversee daily operations
*MUST HAVE A VALID ADMINISTRATORS LICENSE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS ( NO EXCEPTIONS)*
* Make sure facility is in compliance with government rules and regulations
* Supervise staff
* Staff scheduling
* Administer prescribed medication and first aide to residents as required
* Keep a daily log of all medications administered to resident in medicine log and resident folder
* Document all incidents, violations or write up’s on staff and residents
* Assist Direct Care Specialist with cooking, cleaning, washing and personal care of residents
* Respond to all correspondences in a timely manner
* Work closely with Case Managers, Therapist, Doctors, Schools, Counselors
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree (Required)
* Have 2 years of child care at a residential treatment center experience (required)
* Able to work on some State and Federal Holiday
* Must pass a criminal background check
* Must pass a drug screening
* Must have a valid state issued driver’s license
