POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Clerk (AC) is responsible for providing administrative support to the Campus Director and other administrative positions.
The AC will complete various clerical tasks, ensure smooth operations of office activities, and contribute to creating an organized and efficient office environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide administrative support to the school administration, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing documents.
• Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, filling, and data entry.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and spreadsheets as required.
• Maintain and update records and other relevant documents, including student applications and attendance sheets.
• Assist with student registration, enrollment, and withdrawal procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of official school correspondence, newsletters, and memos.
• Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events for school staff and administration.
• Answer telephone calls and address inquiries, taking messages, and relaying information as necessary.
• Serve as the designated purchaser for the campus, adhering to established purchasing policies and procedures.
• Handle incoming packages, including sorting and inventory of school supplies.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Comply with policies established by federal and state law, including, but not limited to, State Board of Education and local Board policy.
• Assist district and campus teams with outreach and engagement events throughout the school year (periodically at nights and on weekends).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or equivalency • One year clerical experience in an educational setting.
• Must have working knowledge of computer programs and accessing internet applications such as Student Information Systems, Microsoft Products, Google Applications (Gmail), and Internet Explorer.
• Detail-oriented, passion for accuracy.
• Experience working with high school age students in urban, non-traditional, and/or adult education setting; Possess understanding of marginalization and how it impacts those Goodwill serves and employs; Exhibit respect for diversity of thought and have experience to advance it in teams/organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • Some college.
• Three years’ clerical experience in an educational setting.
• Proficiency in Spanish or other languages.
