Position Summary Drivers with ALAMO STRUCTURAL STEEL work safely to deliver loaded truck/trailers to vending sites in and around Central Texas.
Our truck drivers follow all state and company regulations to ensure safety standards are met and quality expectations.
They also ensure vehicle is properly loaded and unloaded securely.
Essential Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to): * Accurately complete delivery logs/paperwork on time * Communicate with customer service-oriented behavior to all whom are in contact with you * Work safely, wear all required PPE, participate in all safety programs and commitments * Comply with state regulations in regard to weight standards * Ensure vehicle is properly loaded and load secured, and product is delivered safely and timely * Ability to inspect vehicle for any safety or operational defects according to DOT, maintenance and safety checklists provided to you by the Logistics Manager to ensure it is in proper working order * Loading truck may require but not limited to securing chains across the width of a trailer to secure the product, both on the bed of a trailer and in an overhead rack, tarping of loads on trailers, and dropping and hooking a trailer * Accurate and safe use of chains across the width of trailers to secure product (on overhead and bed of trucks) tarping of loads and trailers, and dropping and hooking trailers (not limited to only these secure methods) * Be willing to commit to safe handling and company protocols and state regulations of use of cellular device while driving Minimum Qualifications: · Clean driving record! · Valid Class A Commercial Driver License · Minimum 1 year experience operating tractor/trailer and hauling flatbed · Pass DOT physical and drug test · No more than 1 moving violation in previous 3 years · No on road preventable accidents during the past 3 years Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

*EXPLANATION OF RAISES AND BONUSES:* Annual reviews are performed around the fall.
Appraisals do not guarantee a bonus or a raise, especially in the first year.
There is no guarantee of raise or bonus -regardless of the status of financial standing with the company.
However, it has been the norm that at the end of the fiscal year, we offer both bonus and raise (raise based upon COLA and if we are awarded additional amounts as a result of our president negotiations with the CFO of parent company) and bonus based upon EOY financial standing.
We are utilizing a minimum 1% of annual salary up to standard 3% salary.
The pattern of increase is set at a minimum 1% of annual salary up to 3% salary increase.
Generally, bonus directly correlates to tenure and job title.
We usually start with the basic COLA for the year calculation, then depending on what our president and GM are able to negotiate with our parent company, we may be able to add additional amounts (in addition to COLA).
If that is the case, certain (addl.
) amounts are partitioned to different departments and the managers can take what is allocated to increase the standard amount.
The additional amount is based upon two criteria: tenure and overall performance.
