Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
I.
POSITION OBJECTIVE This position exists to provide assistance and recommendations on corrosion-related evaluation through participating in P&ID review, equipment specification review, damage mechanism review of equipment inspections, Equipment Abnormal Analysis review, PSM operations issues review, RBI corrosion research and Evaluation, incident investigations, project review/study, inspection and maintenance audit.
II.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY Corrosion Control Manual (CCD) Development and Maintenance – Assist in the Development and maintenance of the Corrosion Control Manual with Operating units.
Review and improvement of corrosion standards and procedures with Operating Units.
Provide improvement for identified corrosion problems.
Carries out failure analysis on corrosion-related leakage or VOC occurrence and failure investigations in order to enhance the safety and integrity of the plant.
Provide recommendations and training to operations/maintenance personnel and support the leadership team.
CEMP/CUI-CUF/RBI Program Development and Maintenance – Responsible for the development, review, and maintenance of CEMP, CUI, CUF, and RBI programs.
Provide assistance and training on corrosion-related PM/PdM program activities, such as corrosion rate calculation and assess the risk of CEMP, CUI /CUF, and RBI evaluations.
Assist in the development of PSM equipment ITP.
Oversee corrosion-related regular or T/A operation, maintenance, and inspection activities.
Assist in the technical development and mentoring of operations/inspection group corrosion control/inspection personnel through routine interactions and providing technical review and support.
Provide technical resources in the analysis of data and damage mechanisms.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to document activities and inspections as well as review same to discern issues with accuracy of data and information contained in reports prepared by others Knowledge, skill, and ability to Interpret and apply the company’s procedures with an appreciation of underlying industry codes and standards and government regulations knowledge, skill and ability to defend the company’s technical and procedural positions related to corrosion control activities and represent the company in an agency audit, inspection, or enforcement action.
THM - Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total Housekeeping Maintenance program.
Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program.
Maintain the plant in like new condition.

QUALIFCATIONS Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job • Working knowledge of applicable regulations and applicable industry organization standards and recommended practices (e.
g.
ASTM, ANSI, ASME, API, NACE, and ISO).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbally.
• A willingness and drive to continue to learn and to improve yourself.
Education/ Experience Requirement • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science and Engineering (Corrosion Science and Engineering) degree.
Other related engineering disciplines considered.
• No experience necessary; knowledge of petrochemical process and Mechanical Integrity Program basis and processes preferred.
• Familiarity with API 510, 570, and 653 Codes and associated documents is preferred.
Familiarity with API 580 and 581 Risk Based Inspections Codes and associated documents preferred.
Knowledge of Material Sciences and Engineering preferred.
