Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey.
Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
The site I&E Engineer position exists in order to optimize the utilization of physical assets and technology resources within the hiring unit; to ensure plant equipment reliability and add value by integrating plant assets, personnel and technology; and work with other maintenance
craft departments and operations departments, while sustaining a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health and safety regulatory and Company requirements.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Equipment Reliability: Provide Maintenance support to the Unit, which will enable the Unit to achieve smooth operation, manufacture high-quality products and avoid unscheduled process interruptions.
This will be achieved by utilizing industries' best practices, benchmarking, and planning, abnormal analysis, and initiation and maintenance procedures.
Maintenance Performance: Communicate and work with Operations continuously to establish equipment criticality and providing standby equipment for critical equipment.
Establish and maintain Historical files to correct diagnoses of equipment failures and performance of equipment maintenance.
Maintenance Support: Provide support to Operations to ensure compliance with State and Federal Environmental Regulations in addition to Preventative Maintenance, backup up programs, supporting technician with calibrations and or scheduling training, and any other activity assigned by the Unit Manager.
Lead and Facilitate: Review abnormalities to improve the overall performance in the unit and work with other departments to enhance product quality and plant reliability
Previous Related Experience:
0-3 years of relative maintenance experience or other petrochemical plant experience
Education:
B.
S.
degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering preferred
