*Position Summary*
The Carpenter Helper will assist skilled craftsperson(s) by performing supportive duties as directed and will work under immediate supervision.
Must have a general knowledge of carpentry and use of hand and power tools to assist the Carpenter and/or Carpenter Foreman with various tasks.
Assist Carpenter/Carpenter Foreman with designing, constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing of structures, fixtures and other items of wood, plywood and wallboard.
Helper will look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work, and be willing to learn from others.
Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
Will be required to work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting.

* Assist Carpenter in laying out work
* Assist Carpenter with lifting, positioning, securing, and cutting of materials during installation
* Clean work areas, machines, and equipment
* Ensure work area remains stocked with materials needed
* Assist other craft workers as needed
*Qualifications*
* Minimum 2 years minimum industrial construction/maintenance experience
* Physical Requirements: Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions
