*Job Description*
Gas Measurement Technician
*Position Summary:*
The Gas Measurement Technician is responsible for Performing installation, programming, commissioning and maintenance of gas measurement equipment.
Plan, schedule and coordinate work efforts with other departments to ensure timely completion of measurement projects.
Perform scheduled calibrations, inspections and troubleshooting of gas measurement equipment.
*Roles and Responsibilities:*
* Perform gas quality tests by use of stain tubes or other equipment as necessary.
* Maintain audit preparedness for area of responsibility with the ability to respond to and correct audit findings
* Maintain system balances and must have the ability to identify/resolve gas loss/measurement discrepancies.
* Pulls spot samples (if applicable)
* Maintain all gas measurement related data and reports to satisfy contractual, state and federal requirements.
* Ensure implementation of measurement best practices and policies.
* Possess the desire to learn and advance skills and operational knowledge by working with mentors and Foreman.
* Witness custody transfer settlement tests and inspections to ensure company measurement interests are monitored and meet contractual, state and federal requirements.
* Perform functions independently in the area of responsibility
* Possess the desire and ability to learn how to operate and configure devices in host software with the support of a mentor and/or Foreman.
*Qualifications and Education Requirements:*
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
* One to five years of Gas measurement experience is preferred.
* Basic computer software e.

MS Window, excel spreadsheet, and Outlook
* Excellent communication skills and customer services
* Work independently, organized and deadline oriented with the flexibility to multitask
* A willingness to learn and grow with the position
* Must be able to work well in both independent and team environments
