Description
Combo Welders should be able to perform welding duties using TIG, MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal structures and equipment.
The candidate should have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine appropriate welding processes.
Perform welding operations using TIG, MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding techniques on various metal materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Use hand and power tools, including grinders, saws, and cutting torches, to prepare materials for welding.
Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and defects using measuring devices and visual inspection methods.
Repair or replace broken or defective parts as needed.
Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations at all times.
Requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a welding program from a trade school or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in welding, preferably in an industrial environment.
Knowledge of welding equipment and tools, including TIG, MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding techniques.
Capable of welding GTAW and SMAW welding process
Passed the certification tests to weld all the following: carbon steel piping, stainless steel piping, chrome piping, nickel-chrome piping, Inconel piping, and boiler tube welds.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Ability to stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
