GrafTech International has a challenging opportunity for: Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Primary Job Responsibility: This position is responsible for the daily scheduling and planning of all maintenance activities in the Seadrift Coke facility through our CMMS (Maximo) that aims to support the safety, productivity and profitability of GTI Description of Job Duties: Manage and administer all scheduling of PM, PdM and CM activities by collaborating with maintenance and production supervisors for prioritization and equipment availability.
Administer and control W/O requests on a daily basis and communicate to maintenance supervisors for appropriate action to be taken.
Build and communicate a daily schedule plan for maintenance activities scheduled for the following workday and publish schedule for preparation activities.
Maintain a weekly look ahead maintenance plan for activity scheduling and prioritized Administer the DSC (daily schedule control) data and trend for maintenance KPI is using Excel skills.
Schedule and lead a daily meeting with maintenance and production supervisors for following days schedule prioritization and communication of schedule.
Build and control outstanding W/O list and trend by craft and priority rating of the jobs Closely work with IT for improvements and functionality of the Maximo system and its maintenance management modules.
Strategically build a W/O list of maintenance deliverables that need to be performed offline during our biennial Turnaround events.
Work closely with and strategically lead an outsourced contract planning and scheduling service for biennial Turnarounds events.
Facilitate and manage the equipment and location numbers assigned to equipment and spares in the facility through Maximo.
Analyze reliability problems of equipment through data and communicate to maintenance supervisors and managers to determine the required countermeasures to be taken for a particular situation.
Schedule all inspection activities with the in-house reliability resources in accordance with PSM regulations.
Schedule all condition monitoring activities and communicate to maintenance team for compliance of predictive maintenance actions.
Write periodic reports or oral presentations to management and customers on specific planning and scheduling deliverables.
Insures that HS&EP policies affecting his department are followed and maintained.
Complies with and facilitate all change management process in his department.
Required Knowledge / Skills / Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning/scheduling in a large industry.
Associates degree in an engineering field or a master artisan with 5 years of planning/scheduling experience in a PSM regulated facility.
Extensive experience of a CMMS(computer maintenance management system) Sound knowledge of Excel and competent to compile spreadsheets and summarize data Knowledge or experience in Primavera P6 software will be advantageous.
Experienced in Turnaround or Shutdown planning for large manufacturing facilities.
Ability to function in a self-directed work team.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Motivated self-starter, detail oriented and meticulous in record keeping.
Able to successfully maintain effective relationships with internal customers.
Knowledge of PM, PdM and CM strategies.
Good team payer to collaborate with maintenance and production.
Preferred Skills: Demonstrate ability to analyze and solve technical problems.
Demonstrate ability to be detail orientated and thorough on gathering information.
Demonstrate use of applying novel solutions to solve problems.
Demonstrate ability to supervise personnel in a team environment.
Recognized as a leader Knowledgeable of applications of various CMMS systems Proficient in MS Projects and project management scheduling tools will be adventagious.
Able to work in fast pace Turnaround environment.
