SUMMARY Develops, processes, and revises work packages for the performance of corrective, preventative maintenance, and modifications in support of Work Process milestones; utilizes the Corrective Action Program and Work Management System to provide quality documents, feedback process, and corrective actions; and provides organizational interface to resolve restraints.
Provides technical support and direction to personnel in performance of maintenance or modification activities.
EDUCATION • Associates degree in technical field.
(Required) • Other: Without degree, graduate of a journeyman apprentice training program, equivalent military training, or 5 years’ experience in nuclear construction start-up or maintenance.
(Required) EXPERIENCE • 5 – 10 Years + experience related to maintenance planning duties and may include craft, craft supervision or engineering.

(Required) This posting position is for a Mechanical Discipline Planner.
The areas of technical knowledge and skills include the theory, maintenance, and repair of but not limited to: • Air Operated control valves and actuators.
• Hydraulically operated control valves and actuators • Manual operated globe, gate, ball & plug valves.
• Swing and lift check valves • Spring type pressure safety and relief valves • Vertical and horizontal single stage centrifugal pumps • Vertical and horizontal multi stage centrifugal pumps • Piston and diaphragm type positive displacement pumps • Cage type blowers • Axial type fans • Multi-vane HVAC dampers and ductwork • Maintenance of tanks, pressure vessels and associated penetrations & manways • Piping system component maintenance and fabrication LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS • There is no Certification or Licensure Listed ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES WORK CONTROL: PLANNER Develops, processes, and revises work packages for the performance of corrective, preventative maintenance, and modifications in support of Work Process milestones; utilizes the Corrective Action Program and Work Management System to provide quality documents, feedback process, and corrective actions; and provides organizational interface to resolve restraints.
Provides technical support and direction to personnel in performance of maintenance or modification activities.
• Evaluates and determines technical accuracy of equipment failure during walkdown.
Compiles component history information and review equipment qualification information.
• Researches and requests drawings, procedures, and equipment vendor information.
Researches and compiles parts and materials information.
Sources and acquires parts and materials.
• Develops/revises work instructions, supporting documentation, and Post Maintenance Testing instructions to effectively resolve equipment conditions.
Performs detailed estimates of work packages including duration and manloading.
• Interfaces with discipline craft to ensure work activities are performed in accordance with approved schedules and priorities and is accurate and achievable.
Ensures procedural and regulatory compliance for work instructions and work package preparation.
• Develops, implements, reviews, and revises technical and administrative procedures and guidelines.
Develops and presents departmental-level technical training materials for peers.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES • Accept ERO position as needed.
• Accept outage position as needed.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.
• Knowledge of applicable policies, regulations, codes, standards, and procedures.
STP System and Technical Specification knowledge.
General technical, systems, Work Management process, and Technical Specification knowledge.
• Able to successfully complete General Employee Training and Qualification for GET 1, GET 2, and FFD (may additionally include respirator and SCBA).
Technical skills associated with work management and corrective action systems.
• Good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with others in a professional manner; work with different groups/departments on short notice.
Ability to represent Work Control supervision in a professional manner.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and provide schedule presentations to an audience that ranges from Craft personnel to Station Management.
Ability to critique and improve processes to promote operational and financial excellence by eliminating hidden waste.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and design documents.
Understand station and department performance indicators and how the results are influenced.
Understands discipline maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
WORKING CONDITIONS • Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
• Normal office environment.
Periodic monitoring of field activities.
May sit for extended periods of time.
May continuously view computer monitor.
